I try to do the same thing but I got the following on boot :

As you can see I use the 2.6.39 kernel.

Have you done any test with this kernel ?

Maybe can you give me your boot logs (even with an older kernel) maybe it can help me to figure out what is my issue. (I also post on alterawiki :

I think the next log should be "calibrating delay loop".
